# List manufacturers

> Discover manufacturer names from the source catalog.

## Behavior

This public endpoint returns a list of names and does not consume data quota. Use `lang=zh` for original Chinese display names. Search brands can also match supported English names, catalog IDs, or pinyin.

**Authentication:** Public; no API key required. **Quota:** Does not consume data quota.

## Illustrative response

The following example is abbreviated. It demonstrates the response shape rather than live inventory or guaranteed field coverage. The generated schema describes the complete contract.
