# Troubleshooting

> Resolve common China API authentication, filtering, and report-coverage issues.

  <Accordion title="My requests return 401">
    Check that X-API-Key contains a current secret key from the China dashboard. A Korea key, dashboard session cookie, or publishable widget key does not authenticate China data requests. Revoked keys and inactive accounts are rejected.

  <Accordion title="Search returns 422">
    Check the current endpoint schema in the API Reference. CNY prices and mileage filters require multiples of 10,000. Minimums cannot exceed maximums. Supplied maximum age and mileage must be positive. Discover supported brands and enum values with the public makes and filters endpoints.

  <Accordion title="Changing limit or year_from does not affect search">
    Those are not China search parameters. Search has a fixed page size of 24 and uses age\_min/age\_max for vehicle age. The similar-listings endpoint separately supports a limit from 1 to 24.

  <Accordion title="My EUR search excludes a car near the budget boundary">
    EUR bounds round inward to the upstream marketplace's 10,000-CNY price steps. An interval can lose edge listings or become empty. Check price\_cny and price\_eur separately and read the filters guide.

  <Accordion title="Some output is still Chinese">
    Supported display fields are translated with lang=en. Unknown terms, seller text, and native Che168 fields can retain their original Chinese values. Use the source fields alongside translated labels where needed.

  <Accordion title="An inspection is advertised, but there are no findings">
    Report advertising and parsed coverage are independent. Check available, data\_available, parse\_status, report\_provider, and report links. The provider may require access, the format may be unsupported, or only a partial extraction may be possible.

  <Accordion title="Insurance available is false">
    Structured claim records are currently unavailable from the public listing payload. The endpoint can return separate vehicle-report advertising and insurance-event lookup evidence. Neither an empty lookup nor a missing report proves a clean history.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I get 429 even after creating another API key">
    All keys share the same account quota and rate limit. Honor Retry-After for temporary throttling, and check the dashboard for exhausted monthly quota.
