# Vehicle details and photos

> Retrieve specifications, native Che168 fields, galleries, and similar listings.

## Details

Use an ID returned by search:

```bash theme={"system"}
curl --fail-with-body "https://api.xapichina.com/v1/cars/59967821?lang=en" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $XAPICHINA_API_KEY"
```

Details can include normalized manufacturer and model names, model year, registration date, mileage, prices, location, fuel, transmission, engine specifications, photos, and a source listing URL. Source-dependent fields can be `null`.

The `che168` object preserves source-language names, units, and values in groups such as catalog, specifications, registration, seller, media, and report services. EV listings can include battery, charging, range, motor, and warranty data when the source supplies it. See [data fields](/data-fields).

## Photos

Details already include `photos`. If you only need the gallery, request:

```bash theme={"system"}
curl --fail-with-body "https://api.xapichina.com/v1/cars/59967821/images" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $XAPICHINA_API_KEY"
```

The response is an ordered array of photo URLs. This is a separate data request. The image endpoint has no `lang` parameter.

## Similar listings

```bash theme={"system"}
curl --fail-with-body "https://api.xapichina.com/v1/cars/59967821/similar?limit=5&lang=en" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $XAPICHINA_API_KEY"
```

This endpoint returns a list of related listing records. Its `limit` defaults to 10 and accepts values from 1 to 24. Unlike search, this endpoint does support a `limit` parameter. A valid vehicle can still return an empty list if no suitable related records are available.

## Reports

Use [inspection and insurance-event evidence](/inspection-and-insurance) to interpret provider coverage. Report advertising, parsed findings, and structured insurance claims are separate concepts.

A missing vehicle returns `404`. An upstream provider failure without usable cached data can return `502`; use bounded retries as described in the [production guide](/production-guide).
